Jarred Dixon picked up a scholarship offer from Missouri State a few weeks back. It didn’t take too long for him to settle on attending Missouri State.
“I decided to commit early on because I wanted to get it out of the way so I don’t have to worry about recruiting during the school year,” Dixon said. “So now I can focus in the classroom and on the court and so I can have a successful senior year with Lees Summit West.”
Dixon committed to Missouri State because he felt comfortable with the Bears. He has developed a solid relationship with the coaching staff.
“(The reason) was just how good of a relationship I had with Coach Lusk and his staff. They had great interest in me and I had great interest in them too. It’s also very close to home so my family can see me play. It just felt like the perfect fit for me. It feels like a great college town too,” he continued.
Dixon is thrilled to be done and has pressure relieved after making his choice. Now he can go out and play without that weight on his shoulders.
“It feels pretty good that I already know what school I want to go to. I don’t have to decide during the school year and can get on with a great senior season without figuring out where I want to go,” he finished.
