With camp season coming up, many names are appearing on the Missouri State radar. One such name is Parkway West High (MO.) offensive tackle Drew Swihart. The 6-foot-6, 305-pound junior has been talking with multiple schools, in addition to Missouri State.
Where do the Bears stand in Swihart's recruitment?
"I think Missouri State is a rising program," he said. "I think renovating the stadium is a great idea. It will bring more interest to the program."
Swihart hasn't been on campus at Missouri State yet, but hopes to make it down this summer.
"I haven't not visited yet, but I want to visit before I got to camp. I camp at Missouri State on July 1st," he continued.
Swihart had a big year for Parkway West High last season, and considers himself as a tireless worker for his program.
"Last season was as a great season. In my last two seasons, I have given up zero sacks. My coaches can rely on me for the big block late in games. I had 80 pancakes in 10 games.
"I'm the hardest worker on the field, in the weight room and in the classroom. I always play through the whistle and I have a very high football IQ. You will never find someone else who loves the game more than I do. I play very sound football and I don't make mistakes," he finished.
