Wichita athlete Denzell Goolsby would be willing to listen to Missouri State and would consider taking a visit to the Springfield campus. Scout.com talked with the junior from Bishop Carroll.

Goolsby is one of Kansas' top football prospects. The Wichita native has been hearing from a handful of programs as the summer approaches.

"I have heard from Kansas State the most. Behind them is Kansas, Northern Illinois, Iowa State and Missouri," said the 5-foot-11, 185-pound Goolsby.

And where does Missouri State stand in the recruiting picture?

"I don't know much about Missouri State to really have an opinion about them. I know Sean Bernard who is going there. It would be nice to hear more about them," he continued.

Goolsby would also be open to checking out the campus and getting some first hand experience with the coaching staff.

"Coming to visit them or going to camp would depend on how interested in me they are," he continued.

Goolsby is a prospect who will draw interest from several schools because of his ability on the field.

"My strength is being versatile. I can play receiver or running back, return kicks or punts and make tackles on kickoff. As a running back it helps a lot being able to have the ability to go out of the backfield for passes and catch the ball in space. My vision, speed and my cutting ability are a few of my other strengths," he continued.

Goolsby visited Northern Illinois this weekend where he received his first offer. He also visited Missouri in February. He's also seen Kansas State, Kansas, Iowa State and Tulsa.
